Essential Functions

1 Stocks carts with proper type and quantity of materials and equipment

2 Assures that work assignment areas are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc. are properly stored during work periods, as well as before leaving the area for breaks, meals and the end of the workday

3 Discards waste and trash into proper containers and relines receptacles with plastic liners

4 Cleans and sanitizes public restrooms

5 Picks up trash in front and back parking lots

6 Turns in and/or reports all lost and found items to supervisor

7 Assists others in lifting heavy equipment, supplies, etc. as directed or requested 8 Reports inventory of housekeeping supplies

9 Keeps housekeeping equipment tidy

10 Performs terminal cleaning procedures

11 Assists with completion of appropriate forms and reports

12 Performs emergency procedures such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), if required

13 Recognizes and responds to the housekeeping needs of residents

14 Performs general Community housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, washing, waxing, etc.

15 Recognizes and responds to containments and potentially infectious wastes and handles according to appropriate guidelines

16 Follows Community guidelines relative to emergency procedures especially fire prevention and the use of fire extinguishers

17 Washes, dries, and folds resident laundry, linens, and other Community items as instructed by supervisor

18 Other duties as assigned by management

Work Environment Works in a well-lighted area that is ventilated and is physically, physiologically and psychologically innocuous as possible under the conditions which exist at any particular time. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Certifications, Licenses, Education and Experience and other Special Requirements A High School Diploma or equivalency is preferred; completion of a minimum of 10th grade is required. A minimum of one year with Housekeeping experience required, preferably in a senior living environment.
